1. Establishment:
The Japan Traffic Management Technology Association (JTMTA) was set up
with the following objectives as a Public Interest Corporation in March
1973 |
2. Objectives:
The objectives of the JTMTA are to facilitate development of technologies on the traffic management system, as well as research, development and popularization of traffic management facilities, maintenance technologies of them and the other related technologies. With such development, JTMTA is to contribute to hazard prevention on road, ensuring safe and smooth traffic and prevention of hazards related to road traffic and further to assist traffic management systems overseas and to cooperate with them in those fields. |
3. Strategies: The objectives are achieved by:
* technical research and development of traffic management facilities
and the equipment
* research, development and familiarity of technologies on traffic management
* planning, designing and supervising of traffic management systems
* maintenance management of traffic management facilities and the equipment
* testing, inspection and certificate on type approval based on the road traffic law
* test of skill and issue of the certificate on inspection and maintenance
of the bicycles
* evaluation and recommendation on performance of equipment for traffic
management
* survey, instruction and advice on traffic management systems overseas
and assistance and cooperation to overseas entities
on the other fields
* collection and publication of information and data concerning each item
above
* any program required to achieve the objectives above |
