Bengaluru, India in South Asia, an industrial city with the 5th largest population in the country, has the biggest number of information telecommunication businesses in India. They city is an important economic hub in the southern India as major companies of India and from overseas have been settling in. On the other hand, chronic traffic congestions have been becoming a more serious issue since the volume of traffic has continued increasing.
This survey was originally contracted to Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. by JICA and we have received a request from Nippon Koei Co., Ltd. for cooperation. In 2016, our association implemented local surveys and made proposals for the maintenance, operation, maintenance/control of traffic lights, etc. and the designing of drafts.
